UK Pensions Specialist Media Relations Manager – Maternity cover recruitment

Key responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Working with business heads, product managers and the marketing team to generate ideas for positive press coverage specifically for direct contribution, defined benefit and work place savings areas of the business.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of media plans including drafting press releases and other materials used to used to promote the direct contribution, defined benefit and work place savings areas of the business.
• Supporting the marketing teams and product management teams where appropriate to generate press coverage on any marketing campaigns and proposition development
• Supporting the Head of Media Relations on any defensive issues for the UK defines contribution and Defines benefit businesses
• Establishing trust and good working relationships with senior executives.
• Creating creative, commercially aware and interesting material rather than churning out standardised media collateral.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven PR experience from within financial services.
• Knowledge and understanding of the DB and DC pensions industry including an understanding of workplace savings and products, employee benefits, annuities and retirement income offerings
• A proven track record in communicating technical investment content in a digestible and interesting format.
• A proven track record of managing sustained PR campaigns.
• The ability to work independently as well as a team
