Vice President, Asset Management recruitment
In this role, the VP will:
• Oversee the financial model and valuation for whole loan investments
• Assist the Director in creating and updating the business plan/thesis for managing investments
• Prepare the investment-level forecasts and business plans, investment-level surveillance/capital strategy and fund level liquidity forecasts
• Analyze impact of various strategic alternatives (i.e. sales, financings, equity calls) on Fund capital, liquidity and returns
• Present recommendations on strategic alternatives and capital plans to senior members of the platform team
• Manage the analytical framework for monetization, determining which assets to sell vs. hold, recommending reserve prices and evaluating performance vs. expectations
• Evaluate alternatives to unlock value through balance sheet / securitization restructuring and/or new financing
• Monitor outstanding debt to ensure optimal capitalization and manage liquidity / margin call risk
• Prepare presentation materials for Fund senior management and investors
Education and Experience Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or other finance-related field
• Mortgage experience preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Advanced understanding of cost of capital and its impact on investment returns
• Understanding of financial statements and accounting
• Experience in identifying and evaluating financial risks
• CFA and/or MBA a plus
