Vice President / Assistant Vice President, Syndicated Finance, Institutional Banking Group

Our IBG - Corporate Investment Banking is responsible for driving core advisory relationships to corporate customers across a range of industries. These include telecommunications, media and technology; real estate; energy, chemical and infrastructure; shipping and aviation; financial institutions; manufacturing; multi-industries and commerce and the public sector.
We also have a team that raises debt capital for our customers in the international syndicated loan market. This involves originating, structuring, underwriting, executing and syndicating a wide variety of capital-raising transactions across Asia.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of borrowers’ needs which will involve credit skills and spreading ability
- Preparation of proposals
- Structuring and negotiation of terms and conditions
- Preparation of term sheet / cash flow models
- Provision of underwriting and market intelligence
- Co-ordination of terms with fellow Bank Arrangers
- Preparation of Information Memorandum
- Involvement in documentation and due diligence
- Liaison with technical professionals including legal, accountants as well as other market surveyors etc
- Where applicable, distribute such deals including organization of road show, site visits etc
- Apart from execution, candidates deemed to be of a Vice President calibre must be able to originate, lead and win mandates for syndicated finance deals in Singapore and around the region
- Requirements
- Degree with a minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Regional coverage experience in credit analysis and corporate or structured / project financing
- Documentation knowledge
- Be able to work closely with the IBG Relationship Managers and Credit teams
- Display a high level of leadership, presentation and inter-personal skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (advantageous due to the client base)
