Vice President Corporate & Investment Banking (m/w) recruitment

Our client has a very active international corporate investment banking product platform. They engage with DAX and MDAX clients on a global scale. The bank can leverage a stable balance sheet and it is looking to expand its client relationship in Germany. The Frankfurt team will focus on product/assignment execution of advisory projects as well as origination of new corporate banking products.

Candidates are required to have a deep understanding of corporate and investment banking products. On the corporate side, ideally candidates have already been exposed to Bond/Lending, Treasury and Cash Management products as well as different real estate financing structures. Ultimately the team will be looking for a successful financial professional with experience delivering and implementing high profile financial strategies and a individual, with a strong work ethic, and proven ability to manage German and international corporate relationships with great integrity.  

Description:

• The successful candidate will gather client information and will be responsible for making product and lending decisions on new products and be responsible for developing new business in Germany

• Responsibility for marketing products services to ring-fence the relationship and provide a one-stop product solution for clients  

• Origination of new business opportunities from both exiting and new to bank customers.

• Actively explore cross-border opportunities from Client’s having regional / global footprints and manage those relationships as Regional Relationship Manager.

• Risk assessment/ financial analysis of all new lending opportunities.

• Conducting periodical risk review of portfolio managed to ensure compliance with risk parameters of the bank and to maintain optimum credit quality.    

• Monitoring portfolio activity in terms of facility utilisation, account

• Identify client solutions and expand the customer relationship through promotion of appropriate additional real estate related products and services

• Responsibility to monitor loan approval process to ensure compliance with requirements for approval requests

• Manage the deal process from origination to execution while supporting senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including interaction with current and prospective clients

Skills:

• The successful candidate will have at least five years experience in corporate and investment banking

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (accounting/finance/economics) or equivalent work experience

• A high degree of computer literacy with particular proficiency in MS Excel

• Strong communication skills and an international perspective

• Excellent transaction management skills with the ability to work with business partners and external advisors

• Excellent command of written and spoken English, German, and optional French, Spanish or Dutch

• Able to work within a dynamic and international environment

• Professional, switched on, hard working, flexible, multitasking
