Our client is one of the world's largest Banking group operating across the globe with a full range of banking and investment services, satisfying the needs of a wide range of clients from individual to corporates. As part of their Asia growth in the Transaction Banking business, a newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance professional to join the expanding Transaction Banking business.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Compliance for Transaction Banking, you will be a senior member of the team focusing on Compliance for the Cash Management and Trade Finance businesses. You will work closely with the business and act as an advisor on compliance and regulatory risks with key focuses on Hong Kong regulations. You will provide ongoing assessment on compliance risks, identify issues, assess the potential impacts led by regulatory changes, enhance the compliance and control framework and processes. You will also provide compliance advice on new business initiatives and assist on process and system changes to support the new initiatives. Acting as a representative from the Compliance team, you will maintain and build a strong relationship with the HKMA on regulatory issues and assist on investigations, inspections and enquiries. The compliance team plays a key role in supporting the business expansion strategy in Transaction Banking.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree with minimum 6 years relevant experience in Compliance with exposure to Cash Management and Trade Finance
- Experience from Internal Audit / Internal Control with relevant business / products exposure would be considered
- Experience from regulators focusing on Corporate Banks would also be relevant
- Familiarity to HKMA regulations
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and ideally Cantonese
