VP Project Finance, Spanish or Portuguese speaker, Bulge Bracket Bank
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our client seeks a VP level candidate who will be responsible for originating, structuring and executing complex project finance transactions in Latin America. The person in this position will work closely with the project finance group head and will also be expected to manage, train and mentor the more junior members of the deal team during the deal execution process. The scope of responsibilities will include Deal Origination and Pitching, Financial Debt Advisory, Debt Arranging, and Deal Monitoring. The group works across strategic sectors including power, oil gas, infrastructure and metals mining, among others.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Successful candidates will have 7+ years of experience in the project and/or structured finance field with a primary specialization in Latin America. Top level deal pitching, negotiation and execution experience across all levels of the execution process (origination through distribution) is essential. Candidates should be fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese as well as English. The position requires in depth financial modeling and analytical skills as well as country specific and in industry/regulatory specific knowledge.
· Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
· Proven experience in marketing and deal execution.
· Specialized in project or structured finance deals in Latin America.
· Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
· Bilingual Spanish/English and/or Portuguese/English.
