VP, Regulatory Advisory Group recruitment

 You will be involved in providing support and advice to the front office across asset classes and to relevant colleagues in financial and regulatory support functions. The team ensures that capital, credit and market risk regulations are applied correctly and that appropriate pre-trade sign-off is in place.

Responsibilities:

• Liaising with structurers and traders to gain an understanding of their business:  reviewing trades, gaining deep understanding of the business case and facilitating solutions from a regulatory perspective

• Providing regulatory assessment of risk implications and capital requirements pre- execution and within tight timelines 

• Calculation, analysis and interpretation of credit, RWA and other regulatory exposures including estimates on individual transactions

• Providing guidance to finance functions on regulations impacting Group-level regulatory reporting to enhance control and improve quality of reporting

• Monitor and assess changes in the Group’s regulatory reporting requirements and communicate these to senior management, control functions and the front office

• Establish close working relationships with legal, risk and accounting policy functions to support understanding of the interdependence of regulatory and accounting frameworks

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role within an investment bank or domain knowledge gained in a central bank, law firm or management consultancy

• Understanding of Basel III and CRD 3 4 and knowledge of the European   regulatory framework

• Good knowledge and understanding of structured products, particularly credit trading and securitisation

• Ability to interpret and communicate complex regulatory issues in a straightforward manner and to recommend optimal solutions

• Strong numerate and analytical abilities and well developed interpersonal skills

• Energy and drive coupled with rigorous attention to detail
