Insurance - Group Finance Accountant
A global general insurance with GWP in the billions are currently looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant. Part of a larger Group, this division is seen as the key facilitator of growth over the coming years and as such are looking for individuals to grow with the business over time.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, this is a Senior Financial Accountant position working in 3 parts:
- Period end close (month, Qtr, and year end), Group reporting toMunich
- Assist with the process re-engineering for Solvency II
- Due diligence on all new accounts coming in.
The team consists of 2 other Financial Accountants, 1 focussing on FSA returns and the other a Branch Accountant, your role will be to report on period end close to Group. Senior stakeholder exposure in theUKto Technical Accounting and Actuarial along presenting to Group head office overseas where appropriate.
The client is looking for:
- 2-4 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Big 4 trained (open to candidates straight from Practice)
- Large company (complexity of business)
- Insurance Accounting
- Period end close in accordance with IFRS / GAAP.
- Commercial, able to face off to senior stakeholders around the business
