About the role
We are seeking a Manager in our Decision Support team within Tax Reporting. In this role you will work closely with the Tax Advisory Division and broader tax reporting teams, both locally and globally, to provide high quality analysis and detailed reporting. This is a high profile team and your reports will be presented to the Group CFO.
Key responsibilities will include:
- preparation of the quarterly Macquarie Group Limited (MGL) thin capitalisation calculation review and investigation
- implementation of revised thin cap methodology, including new Basel III requirements
- responsibility for the MGL thin capitalisation forecast and communicating output to ensure impact is captured in other team deliverables
- working with tax advisory to consider the impact of new transactions on the Group thin capital position
- supporting team deliverables on monthly calculation of group profit by region and business unit and any associated tax expense adjustments
- supporting ad-hoc analysis on group tax attributes and consolidation matters, as requested by internal stakeholders
- providing detailed reporting on the Group tax profile to Tax Advisory and other Financial Management Group teams
About you
To be successful, you will have experience working within in Group Finance Taxation, Capital Management or Regulatory Reporting or within Corporate Finance at a Big 4 firm. You are able to demonstrate a background in managing multiple stakeholders and driving quality outcomes. You will also have:
- Chartered Accountant qualification
- outstanding academic background in a financial or quantitative degree
- demonstrated ability to implement process change
- strong technology experience
- advanced excel skill set
