The Compensation and Benefits team are responsible for providing a comprehensive service to all lines of business and it supports entities across locations in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Our success is dependent upon the service we provide and therefore we source associates with a wide range of experience and knowledge in this specialist field.

The Role
Within a team of 4 this position will involve payroll processing of 30 Moody’s entities across the EMEA region, including UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Cyprus, Dubai, Ireland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, South Africa and Poland. All non UK payrolls are outsourced locally and the Associate’s role will be to oversee the monthly processing of all their allocated payrolls, acting as the primary contact point for all related queries from both employees and external consultants/third parties. In addition, the EMEA Associate will have responsibility for one of the in-house UK payrolls, ensuring timely monthly processing from start to finish as well as year-end filing, as well as projects throughout the year.
Key Payroll Responsibilities
Handle EMEA payrolls, as directed by the Payroll Manager. Duties include:
- Instructing any payroll changes on a monthly basis to the various outsourced providers, and to ensure correct payment of salaries
- Input and process the UK payroll
- Ensure all monthly tax and statutory filings and payments are processed on a timely basis
- Completion of all post payroll administration, including preparation and reconciliation of cost reports
- Maintenance of all year to date earnings and deductions in database and provide reports as necessary
- Maintain record keeping of local benefit plans (medical, life insurance etc)
- Responsible for payroll accounting reports, cost allocations and queries
- Acting as co-ordinator for employee and third party queries
- To provide general payroll or benefits support, as required
- To run the monthly EMEA Interface (together with associated reports) and distribute accordingly
- Proactive enhancement of systems and processes
- Ensure provider costs are kept to a minimum by managing information requests and workflow.
- Act as cover for other EMEA payrolls
- Lead on payroll system/process related projects as required
Additional Duties
- To ensure that all enquiries are handled in a courteous and timely manner as required
- Preparation of any ad hoc reports, as required
- The ability to prioritise work assignments to accommodate urgent requests as needed.
- To ensure that all data handled meets with [INVALID-WORD]nt audit/Sox requirements

Qualifications
- Graduate calibre
- IPPM qualified (full or part)
Experience
- Full knowledge of UK payroll related legislation
- Experience of working in a payroll environment
- Working knowledge of EMEA payrolls (in particular UK/France/Germany)

This role handles a large volume of data and therefore the Associate should be highly organised with a flexible and adaptable ‘can do’ attitude. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential in this busy and varied role.
