Overview:
Senior Event marketer will create and execute client event activities from concept, through execution and evaluation. The event planner will play a key role in the event strategy for the market bringing creative ideas, suggested venues, and proposed content to the market with considerable thought to strategic execution. The job demands interaction with colleagues on the global events team and the larger marketing group, bankers and product partners, and senior management so that we can ensure a consistent and distinctive experience for clients which underscores our business strategies. The event team's goals are to help markets increase client business/deepen existing client relationships, create and drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard is all events. Highly pressured position demanding strong communication skills, accuracy, long hours and travel.
The role reports to Head of US Private Bank Events, Western Region.
Event Planning responsibilities include:
- Understand business objectives and develop an event strategy that supports business goals
- Must think strategically and problem solve, must have ability to offer creative solutions. Will create and execute event marketing strategy for the local market
- Must offer creative event ideas and solutions to help grow business in Southern CA region
- Responsible for event management for the Southern CA region, supporting other markets in the Western Region as needed
- Embed the importance of clients' relations in all aspects of events, ensure a "distinctively J.P. Morgan" experience for clients
- Collaborate with group head and global marketing colleagues on overall event data and analysis
- Drive operational efficiencies
- Maintain budgets and event calendar accordingly, strong emphasis on data management, list keeping, and operational efficiencies
- Well versed in Southern California venues and ability to keep a finger on the pulse of what is new in the area
- Liaise with other J.P. Morgan lines of business, in order to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross sell event opportunities
- Participate in weekly regional team meetings, budget calls, and multiple banker meetings providing event strategy updates
- Function as an integral part of the team, working independently in the Los Angeles market
